Japan: Day 04: Bullet train to Kyoto and another trek

To be honest, there wasn’t really that much going on with the fourth day since most of it was taken up with us heading over to Kyoto, but we did do a bit of wandering around too.

Also, before anyone asks… no, I didn’t really bother to go and see the Nintendo building despite being a fan of Nintendo. Why? Cause the Nintendo building is big and boring and out-of-the-way to go see.

Walking around Kyoto

The start of the day was taken up by the trip on the bullet train from Tokyo to Kyoto where I took a bunch of pictures out the window and watched Super Dimension Fortress Macross on my SUrface Pro 2 while eating Pocky and drinking Coca-cola… so yeah, there was that.

Once we arrived in Kyoto, we got to our hotel and then decided to walk around like we did back in Tokyo. We visited a temple nearby and then walked the backstreets and noticing all the different architecture and stuff. At the end of the day we went to a Teppanyaki place for dinner and had some sake.

Today was pretty sparse, but tomorrow is packed with a tonne of stuff since we went on one of those bus tours that takes you to a bunch of places…
